The Simpson County Clerk’s Office employs six full-time employees.
Our services include:
- Registering & titling of motor vehicles
- Preparation & printing of property tax bills
- Recording & administration of official documents
- Registration of voters & conduction of the election
VEHICLE REGISTRATION RENEWALS:
OPTION 1: Renew online: You can renew your registration online through the Kentucky Motor Vehicle Licensing System. Visit their website to get started. RENEW NOW. You will receive your completed renewal by mail within 3–5 business days.
OPTION 2: Mail-In Renewal Service: A $2.00 fee is added to cover postage and handling. Send registration certificate, current KY insurance card, and payment (plus a $2.00 mail-in fee) to:

OPTION 3: Renew in Person:

OPTION 4: Renew by Phone: You can renew your registration by phone at (270) 586 -8161. Please send your current KY insurance card by fax or email, and then call the office to provide your debit/credit card information. A $7 fee is added to cover postage and handling, as well as a credit/debit card service charge. You will receive your completed renewal by mail in 3-5 business days.
VOTER REGISTRATION: You can register to vote or update your current registration by visiting www.govoteky.com. If you would like information on obtaining an absentee ballot, please call our office at 270-586-8161
